Dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADD, and ADHD are some of the labels we use to refer to people who are smart but stuck. Being smart but stuck may also mean that this student will perform well enough to fly under the radar of ‘needs help’. In fact, most of the people who experience programs at Creative Learning Solutions do not even have official ‘labels’ but they are frustrated, feeling disappointed, or even dumb. About this time of year, they may be feeling the stress of falling behind in terms of academic workload; their parents may soon be scheduling Parent – Teacher Conferences.
For families experiencing any or all of the above, there is a different path to success that is not like other traditional tutoring-based approaches. The Davis programs focus on giving students the tools to overcome the barriers associated with their learning difficulties in a way that utilize their inherent mental strengths.
